MAINTENANCE & UPDATES

How AdnanThemes approaches software maintenance and updates.

Software changes over time. This policy explains how AdnanThemes approaches maintenance, compatibility, security-related fixes, third-party dependency changes, deprecation and update eligibility without promising unsupported lifetime maintenance.

Maintenance principles

AdnanThemes aims to maintain active products in a practical way based on product maturity, customer impact, platform changes, security considerations and the applicable product or marketplace terms.

UP

Product updates

Updates may include bug fixes, compatibility adjustments, usability improvements, security-related changes, feature refinements or documentation updates.

CP

Compatibility changes

WordPress, PHP, browsers, page builders, WooCommerce, APIs and third-party plugins can change independently. Compatibility information may therefore change over time.

SC

Security-related maintenance

Confirmed security issues affecting an AdnanThemes-owned product may be reviewed and addressed according to severity, reproducibility, product status and available remediation options.

Update eligibility and delivery

The way customers receive updates depends on the product and purchase channel.

Direct premium products

Where a direct product uses a licensing and updater system, update access follows the active plan, license and product terms configured for that purchase.

Marketplace products

ThemeForest, CodeCanyon and other marketplace products use the update and download workflow provided by the applicable marketplace and item terms.

Free WordPress.org products

Free products published on WordPress.org can receive updates through the WordPress.org plugin or theme directory when new versions are released.

Third-party dependencies

Some AdnanThemes products depend on external platforms, APIs, libraries, page builders, payment systems or service providers. These third parties can change pricing, APIs, authentication, limits, availability or compatibility independently.

External API changes

When an external API changes, an AdnanThemes product may require an update, configuration change or alternative integration.

Platform changes

Major WordPress, PHP, browser, WooCommerce or builder changes may require compatibility work and testing before full support can be confirmed.

Unavailable third-party service

AdnanThemes cannot guarantee the continued availability, pricing or policies of a third-party provider that it does not control.

Deprecation and end of support

A product, feature or integration may eventually be deprecated when it is no longer practical, secure, compatible or commercially maintainable. Where practical, important deprecation information should be communicated through the relevant product page, documentation, changelog or customer notice.

No automatic lifetime promise

Unless a product explicitly states otherwise, a one-time purchase does not create an unlimited guarantee that every future platform, API or third-party change will remain supported forever.

Released vs planned features

Roadmap items and planned functionality should not be treated as released features until they are actually available in the product.

Migration guidance

When practical, documentation or support may provide guidance for replacing a deprecated feature or moving to an available alternative.

Before updating a live website

Customers should use normal WordPress maintenance practices before applying significant updates.

1. Create a backup

Back up the website, database and important configuration before applying major WordPress, plugin, theme or PHP changes.

2. Review release information

Check the product changelog, documentation or update notes for compatibility information and any required migration steps.

3. Test significant changes

For business-critical websites, test major updates on a staging environment where practical before applying them to production.
