GPL Compatibility Policy

AdnanThemes is committed to the freedoms and licensing principles of WordPress. This page is the authoritative statement of how every AdnanThemes WordPress product is licensed.

All AdnanThemes WordPress products are 100% GPL

Every WordPress theme and every WordPress plugin sold or distributed by AdnanThemes is licensed 100% under the GNU General Public License, version 2 or later.

This applies to the entire product package, not only the PHP code. All PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SVG, images, artwork, icons and any other file we author and ship inside an AdnanThemes product is released under GPLv2 or later.

AdnanThemes does not use split licensing. We do not release any part of a WordPress theme or plugin under a proprietary, restricted, or otherwise GPL-incompatible license.

This applies on every distribution channel

The same 100% GPL licensing applies wherever an AdnanThemes WordPress product is downloaded, purchased, or distributed. That includes:

  • AdnanThemes.com
  • The WordPress.org theme and plugin directories
  • ThemeForest and CodeCanyon (Envato Market)
  • Any other marketplace or reseller

Purchasing an AdnanThemes product buys you support, updates and documentation. It does not restrict the freedoms the GPL grants you over the software itself.

Bundled third-party resources

Where an AdnanThemes product bundles a third-party library, font, icon set, script, stylesheet or image, that resource is included only if its own license is GPL-compatible as defined by the Free Software Foundation. The original copyright notices and license terms of those resources remain in effect and are documented in the product package, normally in readme.txt.

Your rights under the GPL

Once you have received an AdnanThemes WordPress product, you are free to use it on any number of sites, study it, modify it, and redistribute it under the same GPL terms. We place no license keys, activation locks or usage restrictions on the software itself.
