AreaIntelig Browser Extension Privacy Policy

This policy explains how the AreaIntelig browser extension by AdnanThemes handles information when you use the extension. It applies specifically to the AreaIntelig browser extension and supplements the general AdnanThemes Privacy Policy.
What AreaIntelig does
AreaIntelig helps users analyze real-estate property listings while browsing. It can extract property details from the active webpage after the user explicitly starts an analysis, calculate property-investment estimates locally, save and compare properties, generate reports, and optionally connect to an AreaIntelig WordPress installation for additional features.
Page access is user initiated
AreaIntelig does not continuously monitor your browsing activity. The extension reads the contents of the active tab only when you explicitly choose to analyze or re-read the current property page. On a property results page, the paid Multi-Listing Analysis feature may read multiple visible property cards from that same page after you explicitly start the analysis; it does not automatically crawl other pages or run in the background.
Property-page reading uses Chrome’s temporary activeTab access after you invoke AreaIntelig from its toolbar icon or keyboard shortcut. The extension does not request Chrome’s browsing-history permission. If the temporary access is not available, AreaIntelig asks you to invoke the extension from the property tab rather than requesting persistent access to that property’s website.
The extension may read information visible or embedded on that property page, including:
- Page title and listing title
- Listing URL and website hostname
- Property price and currency
- Address or area information
- Bedrooms and bathrooms
- Floor area and unit
- Listing image and description when available
- Structured data such as Schema.org or JSON-LD included by the webpage
AreaIntelig does not request access to your complete browsing history.
Local calculations and storage
Basic property extraction and investment calculations can operate locally in the browser. Depending on the features you use, the extension may store information in Chrome extension storage, such as:
- Saved property records
- Property comparison selections
- Locally generated report records
- Investment assumptions such as interest rate, term, vacancy, closing-cost and growth assumptions
- Theme and interface preferences
- Onboarding state
- The URL of an AreaIntelig site you choose to connect
- An API key you provide for that connected site
The connected-site API key is stored in the browser extension’s isolated local storage under the user’s Chrome profile. Users should use a dedicated, revocable API key intended for the extension and should not reuse passwords or unrelated secrets. Revoke and replace the key on the connected WordPress site if you believe it has been exposed.
Optional connected-site features
The extension can optionally connect to an AreaIntelig WordPress installation selected by the user. This connection is not required for basic local use.
When you connect a site and use connected features, relevant property or feature data may be sent directly to the WordPress site you configured. This can include extracted property details, investment assumptions needed for an analysis, saved-property information, report information, price-alert information including an email address if you enter one, and client information that you manually enter when using eligible client-management features.
The exact connected-site data handling depends on the AreaIntelig installation you choose to connect and the features enabled on that site.
Host permissions
AreaIntelig declares optional website-host permissions so a user can connect an AreaIntelig WordPress installation hosted on a domain of the user’s choice. This optional declaration does not grant automatic access to all HTTPS websites. When the user presses Save & test in Settings, the extension requests access only to the exact connected-site origin the user entered. Property-page analysis itself uses temporary active-tab access rather than persistent host access.
Financial and property estimates
Mortgage, yield, cash-flow, cap-rate, cash-on-cash, debt-service and projection calculations are informational estimates based on the property information and assumptions available to the extension. They are not financial, investment, appraisal, lending, legal, tax, safety or property-purchase advice.
Analytics and advertising
The current AreaIntelig browser-extension package does not include third-party advertising SDKs, Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or a general-purpose browsing-history analytics system.
If analytics or additional third-party services are added in a future release, the extension disclosures and this policy will be updated before those data practices are introduced where required.
Chrome Web Store Limited Use disclosure
AreaIntelig’s use of information received from Chrome APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data obtained through extension permissions is used only to provide or improve AreaIntelig’s disclosed property-analysis and connected Area Intelligence features, or for closely related security and reliability purposes. AreaIntelig does not sell this data, use it for personalized or interest-based advertising, or allow human access to user data except when a user explicitly requests support involving specific data, when required for security, or when legally required.
Payments and paid access
The Chrome Web Store is used to distribute the extension. If paid AreaIntelig plans or connected-site features are offered, any applicable purchase route is shown through the official AdnanThemes or AreaIntelig product/pricing pages. Payment-card information is handled by the checkout provider used for the transaction and is not collected by the browser extension itself. Direct browser-extension checkout is not currently mapped.
Data deletion and user controls
The extension includes controls for clearing its local stored data. Removing local extension data does not automatically delete records already saved on a connected WordPress site. Records stored on a connected site must be managed through that site’s applicable controls or administrator.
Uninstalling the extension removes the extension from the browser, subject to Chrome’s handling of extension storage. Users can also revoke optional connected-site permissions through Chrome extension settings.
Security
AreaIntelig uses HTTPS for normal remote connections and does not intentionally send a connected-site API key over plain HTTP. HTTP connection support is limited to local development addresses such as localhost.
No browser extension or online system can guarantee absolute security. Use a dedicated, revocable API key for connected-site access and revoke it if you believe it has been exposed.
Children
AreaIntelig is a real-estate research and property-analysis tool and is not directed to children.
Changes to this policy
If the extension’s data practices materially change, this policy and the Chrome Web Store privacy disclosures should be updated to reflect the new behavior before those practices are introduced where required.
