1. Lists that follow the customer
Guests save services and comparisons on the current device. After sign-in, account lists are loaded from WordPress user metadata. Guest selections can merge into that account once on the current device. Each account uses its own device storage key. Signed-in lists are changed through authenticated, nonce-protected requests.
Open My account to use the care planner. The comparison limit remains four services. This update adds persistence, not multiple shareable lists.
2. Service savings and bundles
Admin: Products > Edit product > Washlora service promotions.
- Quantity format:
3:5,5:10means three or more matching options save 5%, five or more save 10%. - Bundle IDs identify the other services that must be in the bag with the main service. Set a bundle percentage.
- The largest applicable percentage wins. Tiers and bundles do not multiply. Promotional percentages are capped at 50%.
- Coupons disable these care discounts and courtesy gifts. A merchant should review the policy before launch.
- Pricing is recalculated from current native WooCommerce product or variation prices, and returns to normal if a rule no longer applies.
The Laundry bag care demo has tiers 3:5,5:10 and a 5% bundle with Shirt Pressing Pack. These are demonstration rules, editable in the product.
3. Optional courtesy item
Admin: WooCommerce > Care Commerce.
Choose a published, purchasable simple product and a minimum service subtotal. The threshold is checked after care discounts, before tax and shipping. The eligible bag receives one free item; it is removed below the threshold or when coupons apply. This is off by default. No example gift is forced into customer orders.
4. Customer care planner
The signed-in account dashboard provides service-price and availability watches. Customers create or remove watches on service pages. A watch is evaluated when the account dashboard is viewed; this module sends no stock or price emails.
The cart and checkout offer Save this laundry bag for signed-in customers. This explicit action stores service IDs, variations and quantities, without copying addresses or payment data. Restore keeps the current bag and adds only missing saved quantities. Unavailable services are skipped and reported. Current prices apply, and pickup details must be selected again. Customers can remove the snapshot. Data is included in WordPress privacy exports and erasure.
5. Service tabs, checkout fields and reusable sections
- Product editor > Washlora Custom Product Tabs: up to four editable information tabs.
- WooCommerce > Washlora Checkout Fields: up to ten order-level text, select or checkbox fields. The optional bag-label reference is active on the demo.
- Appearance > Reusable Care Sections: create reusable content for shop, product, cart, checkout, account and before-footer positions. Set category, audience and device rules. Device rules use responsive CSS. Publish only content intended for the matched audience.
Block cart/checkout use native WooCommerce rendering and the Additional Checkout Fields API. The classic checkout has a corresponding fallback. Reusable content is separate from the header/footer generator and is not a full product-template builder.
6. Image Optimizer & Resizer
Admin: Media > Washlora Image Tools. Attachment edit screens also link to the tool.
- Enter the source attachment ID.
- Select maximum dimensions, output format and quality. Height 0 keeps aspect ratio. Cropping needs both dimensions.
- Create the optimized copy. The original is untouched, and the new copy appears as a separate Media Library attachment.
- Review dimensions, file size and visual quality, then select the new copy in the page or product.
JPEG, PNG, WebP and AVIF are offered only when the installed editor can encode them. Existing images are not automatically bulk-replaced. Repeating the same operation reuses its existing copy. Optional new-upload settings use WordPress native processing; they are off by default.
Verification example: source 58,158 bytes; 480 × 720 WebP copy 11,986 bytes. The source SHA-256 remained unchanged. Savings vary by image.
7. Printable care order summaries
My account orders include Print care summary. The order owner or store manager can open it after authentication and nonce validation, then use the browser to print or save as PDF. Totals come directly from the WooCommerce order. This is not a tax invoice, a credit note, or proof of payment.
Testing notes
These tools were tested on the Washlora preview site. Test your own prices, coupons, checkout fields and permissions on a staging site before you launch, and review the printable summaries against your own tax and invoice rules.
Not included
Automatic abandoned-cart email campaigns, stock or price email alerts, multiple shareable wishlists, full invoice and credit-note workflows, live currency and payment-provider setup, advanced media reviews, shoppable hotspots and a full unified product-layout builder are not part of Washlora Care Commerce. The laundry-specific tools above are available now.
