Four roles, honest about the time each takes.
We would rather you commit to two hours a month and keep it than promise a Saturday and disappear. Every role includes a DBS check, paid for by us.
2 to 4 hrs a week
Session assistant
Support a partner club coach during a weekday evening or Saturday morning session.
- No coaching qualification needed
- Training provided in your first month
- Enhanced DBS check arranged and paid for
- Term-time only, if that suits you better
4 hrs a week
Minibus driver
Drive one of the three estate routes to training and back. The single most requested role we have.
- D1 entitlement or willingness to train
- MiDAS assessment arranged and paid for
- Fixed weekly route, same children each time
- Fuel and expenses reimbursed
2 hrs a month
Kit bank sorter
Sort, size and pack donated kit at the Bolton unit, usually one Saturday morning a month.
- No experience needed
- Family-friendly, over 14s welcome with an adult
- Flexible dates each month
- Tea and biscuits, genuinely

Trustee
Join the board. We particularly need finance, safeguarding and lived experience of the communities we work in.
- Four board meetings a year plus reading time
- Three-year term, renewable once
- Induction and ongoing training provided
- Expenses covered, role unpaid

What happens after you apply.
Everything is paid for by us, including your DBS check. You will never be asked to cover a cost to volunteer here.

Volunteering questions
Do I need a coaching qualification?
No. Only the trustee and driver roles have specific requirements, and we fund the driver training.
How long does the DBS take?
Usually two to four weeks. You can attend training sessions in the meantime.
Can I volunteer term-time only?
Yes, and plenty of people do. Tell us up front and we will plan around it.
