ABOUT THE ACADEMY

A boxing academy built around skill, safety and steady progress.

We coach beginners, fitness members and competitive boxers through clear pathways that respect experience, goals and contact readiness.

OUR APPROACH

Teach the boxer in front of us.

Every programme starts with stance, movement, experience and confidence. Coaches then select the right mix of bag work, pads, partner drills, conditioning and review.

  • Level-based entry points
  • One clear technical priority per session
  • Contact introduced only when appropriate
  • Progress notes across coaching blocks
  • Alternative tasks for injuries or confidence changes

COACHING PRINCIPLES

Four standards guide every round.

C

Clarity

Boxers know the task, contact level and success measure.

C

Control

Intensity never replaces position, defence or awareness.

C

Consistency

Repeatable practice builds a dependable boxing game.

C

Care

Partners, coaches and the training space are respected.

SAFETY PATHWAY

Contact is a progression, not a starting point.

01

Solo skills

Stance, guard, movement, shadowboxing and bag control.

02

Partner drills

Cooperative distance and defensive reactions.

03

Technical sparring

Limited tools, low intensity and coach-defined goals.

04

Open rounds

Only for boxers with the skill and control to benefit.

THE TRAINING CULTURE

Serious training without a hostile atmosphere.

New boxers should be able to ask questions. Experienced boxers should model control. Coaches set the tone by making expectations visible and feedback specific.

“The standard is not who hits hardest. It is who learns, controls the round and helps the room improve.”Athlorix coaching principle
