AreaIntelig documentation

Everything needed to install, configure and run AreaIntelig. The same guide ships offline with the download, in twelve languages. To see any of it working, open the live demo.

Requirements

  • WordPress 6.0 or newer.
  • PHP 8.0 or newer. Tested to 8.4.
  • No API key is needed for the core features. Area scoring, ROI and yield, mortgage, affordability, price forecasting and the rule-based assistant all run on your own server.
  • Optional keys only if you want them: OpenAI or Anthropic for richer assistant phrasing, Twilio or Meta for WhatsApp, Google Maps if you prefer it to the bundled OpenStreetMap tiles, GA4 for analytics.

Installation

  1. Download the item from CodeCanyon and unzip it.
  2. Inside you will find areaintelig-v1.0.0-installable.zip. That is the file WordPress needs — not the outer zip.
  3. Go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, choose that file, install and activate.
  4. A new AreaIntelig menu appears in the admin sidebar.

Adding your first area

Areas are scored once and that score follows every listing attached to them.

  1. Go to AreaIntelig → Area Profiles → Add New.
  2. Give it a name, city and country, and set the coordinates.
  3. Score the seven pillars from 0 to 100: safety, schools, transport, lifestyle, rental demand, growth and investment.
  4. Optionally add the city average price, nearby places, a price history and any planned developments.

See a finished one on the area archive.

Adding your first property

  1. Go to AreaIntelig → Properties → Add New.
  2. Enter price, currency, bedrooms, bathrooms, area and city.
  3. Attach it to an area profile. This is what gives the listing its area score.
  4. Add rental income if you want ROI and yield figures.
  5. Fill in the Green & Climate panel for energy rating and climate risk.

See a finished one on the property archive.

Placing the modules

There are 67 shortcodes. Each takes an optional id attribute; leave it off on a property or area page and the module uses the current post.

Common ones: the smart search, the area score radar, ROI, the mortgage calculator, the deal score, price prediction, the green score, nearby places, the development pipeline and the assistant.

The full list with every attribute is in the offline documentation, and every module is shown running on the module reference page.

Gutenberg users get a native block. WPBakery users get 13 elements. Elementor works through the shortcode widget.

Agents and visitors

  • Agent portal — front-end registration and login with admin approval, an agent dashboard and a public directory. No membership plugin needed.
  • Front-end submission — let agents add listings without admin access.
  • Visitor accounts — saved properties, a wishlist, price alerts and report history.

Try them at Agent Access and My Account.

Third-party services and privacy

Every external service is optional and off until you enable it.

  • Maps — OpenStreetMap tiles through the bundled Leaflet library. Visitors see a notice and must agree before any tile is requested.
  • AI assistant — rule-based by default with nothing leaving your server. Add an OpenAI or Anthropic key to improve the phrasing; visitors are asked first and only public listing data is sent. If the call fails the assistant falls back to the local answer.
  • WhatsApp — Twilio or the Meta Cloud API, used only when you configure it. Credentials are stored encrypted.
  • Analytics — GA4, off unless you add a measurement ID.

A Privacy Policy Guide covering all of the above ships with the plugin and is also added to the WordPress privacy tool.

Translation and RTL

Every user-facing string is translatable. A 2,429-entry .pot template is in the languages folder, and an RTL stylesheet loads automatically for right-to-left locales. The offline documentation ships in twelve languages.

Data and uninstalling

Deactivating changes nothing. Uninstalling removes the plugin but keeps your properties, areas and settings, so reinstalling picks up where you left off.

If you want a clean removal, enable Remove Data on Uninstall in the settings first. Only then does uninstalling delete the plugin’s content and options.

Troubleshooting

  • A module shows nothing — the post it points at has no data for that module. Fill in the relevant fields, or check the id attribute.
  • The map is blank — the visitor has not accepted the map notice yet, or the area has no coordinates.
  • No ROI or yield figure — the listing needs a rental income value.
  • Styling looks off — your theme may be overriding the plugin. The Appearance settings include a Card Radius option and colour controls.
  • Search results do not load — a caching or security plugin may be blocking admin-ajax.php.

Support

Six months of author support is included with every purchase and can be extended at checkout. Support covers defects, questions about the documented features and help getting the plugin working. It does not cover custom development.
